Royal Holloway’s Women Inspire campaign celebrates inspirational women and their achievements.
Our College was founded by Victorian social pioneers who were committed to providing access to education and knowledge to everyone who could benefit. At the time this meant being among the first colleges in the UK to give women access to higher education.
Today we are proud to be part of the community our founder’s established and associated with the egalitarian principles they stood for. Through the Women Inspire campaign we hope to continue the legacy of our founders and inspire women and men of all ages to engage with learning as a way of helping them to achieve their own success.
The campaign will run across the autumn and spring term and will be split into three main areas:
- Celebrating our pioneering history and the leading role our founders played in the advancement of women in higher education.
- Championing and support our current inspirational women and the role they can play in inspiring others.
- Helping to combat gender stereotypes and the under-representation of women in certain fields and careers by inspiring a new generation of girls to think past gender barriers.
