Despite being the largest LLB programme in the UK, we offer an intimate, friendly, and stimulating environment for you to study in. We encourage our students to take part in all areas of the law outside of everyday teaching. We run annual mooting competitions and offer you opportunities to volunteer to take part in pro bono work.
Our LLB (Hons) is academically rigorous and taught by experts in their fields. It will provide you with a sound grounding in law whilst at the same time allowing you develop your own areas of special interest through a wide ranging choice of modules and pathways in:

By completing the LLB (Hons) with us you acquire analytical, communications and other transferrable skills that allow to confidently apply for jobs in law and legal services, but also in diverse areas like banking and finance, government, politics, charity and NGOs, or academia.
You may also decide to continue your studies and become a fully-qualified solicitor or barrister.
Routes after the LLB
Our LLB (Hons) is recognised by the Law Society of England and Wales, the Solicitors Regulation Authority and the Bar Council/Bar Standards Board as satisfying the initial academic stage of legal training.
This means that once you complete your degree you can directly go on to either the Legal Practice Course (LPC) if you want to become a solicitor and the Bar Vocational Studies (BVS) if you want to embark on a career at the Bar.

New dedicated facilities
This is an exciting time to enrol at The City Law School as you will be joining us in our brand new, dedicated seven-storey facilities designed specifically for law education.
The new City Law School building will bring together students from all stages of their law education to develop a diverse, supportive and stimulating student community.
Students will benefit from in-house legal clinics to gain experience advising real clients and a mock court room complete with witness boxes. Facilities have been designed to reflect developments in the sector, with the addition of digital technology in courtrooms and the use of artificial intelligence.
